When I graduated highschool, grandma took me on a cruise. I got to pick anywhere and I chose Mexico! Mainly because she had some great history with Catalina and it was just going to be me and her. It was so much fun! The first night everyone was in the grand hall screaming out where they were from and the cruise director jokingly asked if anyone was from Utah. I was in the moment like everyone else and screamed "I am!" It was so embarrassing for her especially when they asked if I was Mormon and I answered energetically that "I totally was!" (and the only one) Turns out: not so cool to be Mormon on a cruise, but everyone's interest was piqued and I was barraged with questions the whole week. I remember Grandma just being really patient with me answering questions all week. She teased me in good humor and visa versa on being stuck with the Mormon though I am pretty sure and she agreed that I looked more drunk than anyone else cause I couldn't get used to the boat all week and I am high-spirited most the time anyways! It was so much fun, and I will never forget that trip! All my friends went on a huge senior trip to NYC, but I couldn't afford it, so this was unbelievable! Thank you Grandma!
